Our girls basketball team entered into the region tournament as the number six seed. Their first game was against Panguitch, at Panguitch. They lost 51 to 21. The next two days of the region tournament were played at Richfield High School. They played Parowan the second day of the region tournament. It was a close and tight game all four quarters. With less than 10 seconds less, Saige Cox hit clutch free throws to give Valley the edge. They won by a score of 41 to 39. The last day of the region tournament they played Milford. They ended up losing this game by a score of 57 to 30. This result gave them 6th place in the region tournament and a spot in a play-in game in the 1A state tournament. Their play-in game will be against ICS on Tuesday, February 14th in Richfield.
