The boy’s medley relay team of Austin Dean, Cameron Franklin, Jaron Palmer, Travis Lee and Danny Goulding (alternate) placed 3rd. Valley coaches Joseph Sorensen and Mike Franklin said they were blown away by the efforts put forward by this small team at the state meet. After the first day of state we realized we had a shot at the 2nd place trophy. The last day of state was somewhat magical as every one of these boys performed better than they had ever previously done. It was a lot of fun and something these kids will never forget. Valley would like to thank Kanab High School for letting us come work out on their track and for their coaches Levi, Sam, Lisa, Julia and Trevor for helping our team when we were able to come practice on the track in Kanab.
