GBB: Strong Second Half Leads to Upset Over Parowan

The girls got a huge win last Saturday by beating Parowan in a game that could result in where teams rank in the region 20 standings. After losing to Parowan at their home court by 21 points, the Buffalos were big underdogs in this game. A very low scoring game after one quarter was followed by three consecutive double digit scoring quarters by the Buffalos. Parowan was leading at halftime with a score of 18-12. The Valley girls, however, were able to outscore Parowan in the final two quarters by a combined total of 17 points. Strong defense and offense were the big keys in stopping Parowan and getting ahead, maintaining, and increasing the Buffalos lead. A great team effort lead to the Valley girls getting the win. The final score was Valley 39 Parowan 28. The girls next game will be a home game against Bryce Valley Thursday, February 2nd.
